Should you do your own Search Engine Optimisation?

This is a question going on in the minds of many business owners today. Time holds the key. It is your prized asset. The chances are as a business owner you will have many daily tasks in different departments and skills and so prioritising is very important.

When one considers also that one also has a life then certain factors come out to play. Are you ready to spend even more of your time working? Is the extra load worth it?
 
You must also consider the cost. Will doing my own SEO marketing campaign really make me more money? Is it worth paying an SEO consultant to do the job and thus free up my time again?
 
There is a great article in Search Engine Guide called "The Big, Bad List of Pre-SEO Questions You Need to Answer" Written by Stoney deGeyter in which he says .. "Is this something I really want to do along with my regular work? SEO isn't your 'full time' job. You've got a business to run and we shouldn't be afraid to admit that it takes the majority of our time.
You need to consider if you really have time to add another time consuming task to your already full plate. Anything new you add will take away from other, possibly more important tasks. It'll do you no good if you Optimise the site if you can't handle the business it brings."
